A History on Camera
Born in Hamburg in 1980, Lena studied biology in Tübingen and Boston following her graduation from high school at Karlsruhe. Her career in broadcasting began with an internship at Südwestrundfunk (SWR), and she's since contributed to several daily shows like "nano", "Tagesschau", "Tagesthemen", and science formats. Since 2008, Lena has graced our screens, hosting regional magazines on 3sat and the live show "Kaffee oder Tee" on SWR.
Her tenure with ZDF includes hosting the science magazine "Terra Xpress" for almost eight years and producing the documentary format "ARD Wissen" on Das Erste.
Live from the Heart of Berlin
Broadcast live from Berlin, "Kontraste" on Das Erste has been a staple since 1968. Every three weeks, rbb delivers a half-hour episode filled with investigative reports, in-depth background stories, and political and social analyses.
