Leadership shift at KG13: Jens relinquishes the chairmanship to Guido Siedlaczek
With a decade at the helm of Bottrop's beloved carnival society 13, Jens Reinges bids adieu.
For ten tumultuous years, Jens Reinges redefined the essence of KG13, a traditional carnival society. But now, Reinges steps down from his prestigious role as the 1st chairman, passing the torch to Guido Siedlaczek. The formal transition took place at the carnival society's yearly meeting on May 27th.
"These ten rollercoaster years were a mix of euphoria, turmoil, and growth," reflected Reinges in his valedictory address. "What stands out the most, however, are the years of shared camaraderie, unforgettable carnival moments, and building a strong community." Reinges assumed the leadership of KG13 back in 2015 and notched up quite an impressive track record during his tenure. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, he steered the society with finesse and compassion. Rest assured, he will continue to play a significant role, serving as a council member.
Guido Siedlaczek, the new kid on the block, brings a refreshing vibe to the society. For the past two years, he has served as the managing director on the board. Beginning his tenure as the chairman, he appreciates the baton being passed to him and expressed gratitude to his predecessor and the outgoing board for their contributions. Siedlaczek promised to preserve the society's progress and infuse it with fresh ideas. "I am brimming with excitement about this task and the trust vested in me," said Siedlaczek. "I plan to honor the legacy and safeguard KG13's future."
The members couldn't contain their excitement and are looking forward to the society's continued success under the new leadership.
