Leadership in the 2025 Men's Combined Major Tournament sees Scottie Scheffler leading by a substantial 21 strokes over Rory McIlroy at the tournament's summit.

In the world of golf, the 2025 Major season will be remembered as the year of Scottie Scheffler. The American golfer not only won two Majors, the PGA Championship and The Open Championship, but also set a new record for the lowest score across all four Majors in a single season.

Scheffler finished the season with an impressive total score of 32-under-par, averaging two-under-par per day in the Majors. This score was unmatched, as no player on the 2025 Major leaderboard finished with a higher score. In fact, the leaderboard featured no players who finished the Majors with a score higher than par.

Scheffler's dominance was evident in his individual performances at each Major. At The Masters, he finished with an 8-under score, while at the PGA Championship, he carded an 11-under. His best performance, however, came at The Open Championship, where he shot a stunning 17-under-par. Interestingly, his score at the US Open was +4, marking the only Major where he failed to finish under par.

Despite Scheffler's impressive performance, he was not the only golfer to make history this season. Rory McIlroy sealed the career grand slam at The Masters, joining an elite group of golfers who have achieved this feat. Xander Schauffele also made the weekend in each of the last 15 men's Majors, a streak only bettered by Scottie Scheffler's 14 Major cuts in a row.

The 2025 Major leaderboard featured 15 players from America and Europe. Besides Scheffler, Rory McIlroy had the most Major wins this season among men. Harris English finished 5th with a 5-under-par score across the four Majors, while Tyrrell Hatton finished 7th with a 1-under-par score. Xander Schauffele finished 3rd with a 10-under-par score, the highest score among players who finished under par across all four Majors.

However, McIlroy's combined score for the four Majors this year was 11-under-par, not helped by his 10-over total for the PGA Championship and US Open. Matt Fitzpatrick finished 6th with a 1-under-par score across all four Majors, while Jon Rahm finished 4th with a 6-under-par score.

Corey Conners made the cut in all four Majors this year but withdrew prior to the final round of the US Open, therefore his scores are not included in the 2025 Major leaderboard.

In conclusion, the 2025 Major season was a year of records and historical achievements. Scottie Scheffler's dominance was undeniable, setting a new standard for future Major winners. The season also saw Rory McIlroy achieve the career grand slam and Xander Schauffele extend his streak of making the weekend in each Major. As we look forward to the next Major season, it's clear that the bar has been raised, and the competition will be fiercer than ever.
