In a meeting with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Tokayev reminisced about his official visit to Belgrade in November of the previous year. The former visit played a crucial role in strengthening mutual understanding and cultivating multi-faceted cooperation between the two nations.

Vučić revealed Serbia's keen interest in expanding the strategic partnership with Kazakhstan, a sentiment that Tokayev wholeheartedly echoed. Both leaders committed to implementing previous agreements and promised to continue their dialogue on bilateral and international issues during the upcoming visit of the Serbian president to Astana.
