Scottie Scheffler Dominates 2025 Major Championships

The 2025 Major golf season has come to a close, and it was American golfer Scottie Scheffler who emerged as the standout performer. Scheffler, who is not of European descent, claimed two Major titles this year, the PGA Championship and The Masters, and finished with an impressive 32-under-par total across all 16 Major rounds.

Despite not finishing with a triple-digit under-par score across the four Majors, Scheffler's dominance was evident as he finished 21 strokes ahead of his nearest challenger. Jon Rahm and Harris English finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively, with scores of 6-under-par and 5-under-par across the four Majors.

Rory McIlroy, who sealed the career grand slam at The Masters this year, had a more mixed performance. His total score for the Majors was 11-under-par, but he struggled in the PGA Championship and US Open, finishing with a 10-over total for those two events.

Xander Schauffele was the only player to finish with a double-digit under-par score across the four Majors, with a total of 10-under. Tyrrell Hatton also finished under par in all four Majors, with a score of 1-under. Matt Fitzpatrick was the only other player to accomplish this feat, finishing with a score of 1-under.

It's worth noting that no player on the men's Major leaderboard for 2025 finished with a triple-digit under-par score across the four Majors. Corey Conners, who made the cut in all four Majors this year, withdrew prior to the final round of the US Open, so his scores are not included in the final standings.

The men's Major leaderboard for 2025 features 15 players, all of whom finished at least one Major round. 15 players on the leaderboard are either American or European, with the third place in the world golf rankings being Xander Schauffele, who is American but not European.

In summary, the 2025 Major season was dominated by Scottie Scheffler, who claimed two titles and finished with an impressive 32-under-par total across all 16 Major rounds. Rory McIlroy also had a strong showing, sealing the career grand slam at The Masters, while Xander Schauffele and Jon Rahm rounded out the top three. It was a competitive season, with many top players finishing under par in all four Majors, but Scheffler's dominance was unmatched.
