The intense, macho image that Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann projects comes as a surprise contrast to Helfried Reißenweber, the singer of the Rammstein tribute band Stahlzeit. In a cheeky interview with Nordkurier, Reißenweber revealed his relaxed bathing habits, confessing to being "really a wimp and a warm shower." He explains, "The water has to be very warm before I get in, at least 20 degrees Celsius. But I'll check it out when I have time before or after the performance."

Stahlzeit, who have been covering Rammstein's iconic songs for 20 years, are about to hit the road for their anniversary tour. With Reißenweber at the helm, they'll be performing 40 shows — a number that's set to double by the end of the tour. Although it's challenging to step into the shoes of Till Lindemann, Reißenweber strives to deliver "the best possible Rammstein feeling." He explains, "I try not to be stiff and copy everything 1:1 like Till Lindemann."

The band's performances feature Pyrotechnics and show elements that mimic Rammstein's grand spectacle. However, the local authorities' restrictions on these elements differ from location to location. Stahlzeit's arsenal includes a penis cannon, which they use to shoot out ten kilos of biodegradable confetti, adding to the group's performance’s excitement.

But not everything about Reißenweber's persona mirrors the intensity of Till Lindemann. Aside from his preference for warm showers, we don't have any insight into his Kneipp hydrotherapy routines, nor is there any evidence to suggest he emulates Lindemann's infamous naked fishing escapades, as seen in an Instagram video from 2019.

In an era where tribute bands thrive, Stahlzeit's tribute to Rammstein is unique and unapologetic. They aim to deliver an accurate interpretation of Rammstein's music and stage presence, while sprinkling in their distinctive personality. As Reißenweber puts it, "We try to get as close as possible, but we also put our own personality into the show."

Despite his relaxed bathing habits and self-proclaimed wimpish nature off-stage, Helfried Reißenweber, the frontman of the Rammstein tribute band Stahlzeit, strives to maintain the energy and intensity of the original band during their performances. The band's anniversary tour will see them covering 40 shows, aiming to deliver the best possible Rammstein feeling while adding their unique personality.
