Law enforcement is currently scrutinizing a sports event, specifically a football game.
A soccer match between TuSpo Surheide II and SFL Bremerhaven II in Bremerhaven-Surheide took an unexpected turn on Saturday, September 13, at 1 PM, as a physical altercation broke out during the game.
The incident, which occurred towards the end of regular play, involved several individuals, including players, officials, and spectators. A bottle was reportedly used as a weapon during the altercations, resulting in minor injuries for some participants, although no one required immediate medical attention.
The Bremerhaven Police were quick to respond, arriving at the scene with multiple patrol units. Upon arrival, the opposing parties had separated, but the atmosphere remained heated. The home team's coach, in response to the incident, removed all his players from the field, causing the game to stop.
After the facts were established, the police issued several warnings. Two 20-year-olds and a 28-year-old were reported for charges of dangerous bodily harm. In addition to this, a 20-year-old's wallet was reportedly stolen during the commotion, so theft is also being investigated.
