Laura Wontorra to Host the 2026 FIFA World Cup for Telekom - Laura Wontorra and Jürgen Klopp lead MagentaTV’s 2026 FIFA Club World Cup coverage
MagentaTV has announced its presenting team for the 2026 FIFA Club World Cup. Leading the coverage will be Laura Wontorra, one of Germany’s best-known sports journalists. The tournament, set across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, will see all 104 matches broadcast on the platform—44 of them exclusively.
Wontorra, 36, will share hosting duties with veteran presenter Johannes B. Kerner. The pair will anchor live broadcasts from a dedicated studio in downtown New York, offering a backdrop of the city’s skyline. Alongside studio work, Wontorra will also report directly from stadiums across the three host nations.
Joining the team as expert analysts are former national team striker Thomas Müller and ex-Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp. Mats Hummels will contribute as a pundit, while Wolff Fuss takes on commentary duties. Wontorra expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with such high-profile names during the tournament. Telekom’s MagentaTV secured rights to air every game of the expanded 2026 Club World Cup. With 48 teams competing, the event marks the first time the tournament spans three countries.
The 2026 Club World Cup will run from June to July, with MagentaTV providing full coverage. Viewers can expect studio analysis from New York, live stadium updates, and insights from a team of football experts. The platform’s exclusive matches will include key fixtures throughout the competition.
