Laughter and excitement guaranteed with Paco León's latest work, "Away and back" according to the humorist.
Paco León, the acclaimed Spanish actor, director, screenwriter, and producer, is set to direct a comedic reunion of his charismatic character Luisma from the series Aída. The reunion, titled Aida and Back, will be in film format and will feature the return of the Esperanza Azul neighborhood and the TV family.
The story of Aida and Back will not be an episode of Aida, but will tell the story of the filming of an episode that didn't happen, but could have. Paco León plays the role of Paul in this anticipated film, scheduled for January 2026.
The iconic theme song "Don't anyone raise their voice" will have a new version for the film, sung by artists from Cadiz. The Sevillian himself is involved in this new rendition.
Aida and Back promises to be a very funny comedy with a strong tone, daring and sometimes politically incorrect. Paco León is confident that this production will not disappoint because if it makes people laugh and moves them, that's all that matters.
Paco León, born in Seville, Spain, in 1974, began his career in theater and later moved to television, debuting on Canal Sur with Imperio Argentina and Manolo Zarzo. He has worked in more than 20 films and a dozen series, including Carmina o revienta, Carmina y amén, and Kiki, el amor se hace.
Recently, Paco León received the 2025 honorary award from the Cádiz South International Series Festival. This recognition comes as he turns 50, a milestone he is currently celebrating with these honorary awards.
The artistic world, including cinema and series, has its own time, and a character can live forever as an adolescent while their actor ages. This is evident in the reunion of Aída, one of the most anticipated reunions in Spanish comedy.
Aida and Back will provide a different perspective, showing the intricacies of the actors and comedians who play the characters, both the front and the back. The seventh art has times that aren't measured by clocks or governed by conventional calendars.
Paco León has also lent his voice to titles like Madagascar and Canta. With Aida and Back, he continues to make a significant contribution to the Spanish entertainment industry, ensuring laughter and entertainment for audiences.
