Latest red-carpet styles showcased at The Walsh Sisters film debut event
In an exciting turn of events, the much-anticipated debut of the new Irish series, The Walsh Sisters, is set to premiere on Sunday, 28 September, at 9:30pm on RTE One and RTE Player. Ahead of the show's launch, the cast of The Walsh Sisters had a chance to speak with Caroline Downey, a stylist and red carpet reporter.
Leading the cast is Stefanie Preissner, who not only plays a character in the show but also contributes as an actor and writer. Preissner's personal style is a unique blend of boys' clothes and what she calls 'hunzo' fashion. For the premiere, she wore a striking white, feathered suit from Irish designer Sinead Keary.
Preissner's character, Maggie, is casual in her attire, often seen lounging around the house in sweaters, chinos, and even tracksuit bottoms that Preissner took from the set. Interestingly, Preissner kept some of Maggie's casual clothing, such as sweaters and chinos, as they align with her personal style. However, she did not retain any of her character's work-related clothing.
Louisa Harland, who plays one of the Walsh sisters, wore a linen suit by Triona, a heritage brand from Donegal, to the premiere. Máiread Tyers' outfit for the event remains undisclosed, but a red carpet gallery is available to showcase the celebrity styles from the premiere of The Walsh Sisters.
The other cast members, Caroline Menton, Danielle Galligan, and Máiread Tyers, also attended the premiere in Dublin's IFI, each bringing their own unique style to the red carpet. Danielle Galligan enjoys experimenting with her style, trying everything from tomboy to 'hunzo'.
Preissner is heavily invested in The Walsh Sisters, pouring her heart and soul into the show. Her commitment is evident in her character's clothing, as some pieces come from her personal collection, including items that belonged to her mother, grandmother, or ex-boyfriend.
With its engaging cast and intriguing storyline, The Walsh Sisters is poised to become a must-watch series. Don't miss its debut on RTE One and RTE Player this Sunday at 9:30pm.
