Latest Powerhouse Metal Tracks to Check Out Instantly

Sabaton is gearing up for the release of their new album, Legends, on October 17. The album promises to be a thrilling journey, with the band exploring the stories of historical figures and events.
Sabaton isn't the only band with new music on the horizon. Dogma, a relatively new band that burst onto the metal scene in 2024, is expected to generate buzz with their upcoming sets at Wacken and Bloodstock. The symphonic power metal scene is also buzzing with new releases. Divine Desolation by The Pale Mask, Retribution by Burning Sun, A Thousand Little Deaths by Blackbriar, Of Heart and Mind and Earth by Bardo, and Beneath the Altar by The Final Witness are all set to drop this month.
In last week's vote, Esprit D'Air took the top spot with their single Silver Leaves, while Avatar took third place. Hanabie came in second place.
In other notable releases, Hatebreed's new single Make The Demons Obey showcases the band's intense and aggressive style. Beyond The Black's new single Break The Silence is the title track of their upcoming album, due January 9, 2026. The Veer Union's new single Sea Of Fear exemplifies modern metalcore and alt. metal with its crunching lead riff and lush vocal melodies. Lastly, Lord Of The Lost and Within Temptation have collaborated on the track Light Can Only Shine In The Darkness, which combines industrial goth and grandiose symphonics.
