In a bold move to ensure road safety, the authorities in Sambalpur, Odisha, have taken strict action against a group of youths who were caught joyriding on a single scooter, blatantly disregarding traffic rules.

The incident, which was captured on video and went viral on social media, occurred under the jurisdiction of the Dhanupali Police Station. The police launched a search operation and traced the vehicle using CCTV surveillance. As a result, the scooter was located, and one rider was detained.

Preliminary investigation revealed that several of the youths involved were minors. The authorities have urged parents to keep a closer watch on their children's activities and emphasised the need for them to monitor their children more closely.
