Lars Ulrich, the drummer of Metallica, has shared his thoughts on Black Sabbath's final performance at the Back To The Beginning show. In an interview, Ulrich described the concert as "great, if not better than ever."

Ulrich had initially expressed some uncertainty about how well Black Sabbath would perform, given their long hiatus and Ozzy Osbourne's health. However, his doubts were quickly alleviated when he witnessed their opening performance of "War Pigs." The band played the classic song with lights, a show, and air raid sirens, impressing everyone present.

Ulrich also shared emotional reflections on Ozzy's passing just two weeks after the concert, describing the event as a momentous and stunning farewell.

Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy's wife, also had high praise for the event. She stated that Ozzy was deeply moved by the outpouring of love at the gig. Sharon is currently working on a BBC documentary titled Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, which was filmed over the last three years of his life and will be screened on BBC1 on August 18.

The Back To The Beginning gig was a historic event, marking the first time anyone has gone into retirement and had their show streamed. Proceeds from the event went to charity.

Before the gig, Ulrich had a conversation with Ozzy, during which he found Ozzy to be eloquent and very sharp. This contrasted with concerns about Ozzy's physical condition.

In a recent appearance on Howard Stern's Sirius XM show, Ulrich discussed the Back To The Beginning show and his interactions with Ozzy and Sharon. Ulrich has a longstanding relationship with the Osbournes, with Sharon having managed Ozzy and played a significant role in introducing Metallica to a broader audience.

In summary, Lars Ulrich praised Black Sabbath’s final concert as excellent and better than expected. He described the experience as special and emotionally powerful, given that it was Ozzy's last major performance before his passing. Sharon Osbourne, while not directly commenting on the show itself, is recognized as a key figure in Ozzy's career and Metallica's early exposure through Ozzy's management.

Despite his initial doubts, Lars Ulrich was deeply impressed by Black Sabbath's music and entertainment during their final performance at the Back To The Beginning show. Ulrich described the concert as a powerful and emotional event, with Ozzy's performance standing out as a high point.
