Large turnout at Rosengarten run: 1259 runners reached the end point in the event

The 5th Rosengarten Run and the 4th Rosengarten ULTRA Heath Marathon (RUHM) took place on Sunday in the picturesque Rosengarten Regional Park, attracting a record-breaking 1552 participants.

Kirsten Moehle from the organizing team, Hausbruch-Neugrabener Turnerschaft (HNT), expressed pride at the event's success, stating, "We are thrilled to have excited so many people for the Rosengarten Run."

The day kicked off with a special moment as kids between three and five years old took to the start-finish straight at Wildpark Schwarze Berge for their races. An enthusiastic audience cheered them on, making it a memorable experience for the young participants.

In the main event, Christian Diskowski, aged 37, claimed victory in the RUHM, setting a new record time of 3:56:46 hours. This marked a significant improvement over the previous record set in 2019.

Meanwhile, Leonie de Jong, from VfL Stade, was the fastest woman in the RUHM, crossing the finish line in 4:37:36 hours.

Unfortunately, no new records were set for the children's and youth races, but they were still highlights of the event, filled with excitement and enthusiasm.

It's worth noting that this year's event saw a new participant record with 1259 runners crossing the finish line, breaking the previous record.
