Lapu-Lapu City recovers swiftly after Typhoons Tino and Uwan pass

Lapu-Lapu City has returned to normal operations following the passage of Typhoons Tino and Uwan. The city was placed under white alert status on November 10 at 5 p.m., signaling the all-clear after the storms.

The City Government has confirmed that all essential services and commodities are fully operational. This includes power, water, and telecommunications, as well as key infrastructure such as the airport, seaports, bridges, and major roads. The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) recommended the deactivation of the Emergency Operations Center, which was subsequently done on November 11, 2025, following a recommendation from the Department of Health (DOH).

Monitoring and preparedness efforts continue to ensure swift response to any potential risks. The city remains safe, secure, and fully open for tourism and business activities.

Lapu-Lapu City has emerged from Typhoons Tino and Uwan with no casualties or injuries reported, thanks to early action and strong community cooperation.
