Lane L67 Permanently Shut Down

The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic has announced a significant road construction project in the Lingen business area, with the closure of the L67 (Klausheider Straße) for full renovation. This construction work is expected to last until June 2026.

From August 4, 2025, motor vehicle traffic will be diverted due to the closure. Vehicles travelling from Wietmarschen should continue along the L67 and follow the designated detour. The detour route leads from the B213 in Nordhorn via the K17 towards Hohenkörben onto the L45 towards Wietmarschen (Neuenhauser Straße).

The focus of this project is the replacement of two bridge structures on the L67. The bridges over the Lee and the Klausheider Graben are being replaced due to their age. The construction work will be carried out simultaneously, with pre-fabricated parts, independent of weather conditions, being used extensively in the project management process. In addition to the replacement structures, about 100 meters of new roadway will also be built.

Cyclists travelling from Nordhorn (L67) will be directed via the "Grünlandweg", "Hertinsweg", and "Schwarzer Weg" for the duration of the construction. This route applies in both directions.

The authority responsible for this project is the "Niedersächsische Landesbehörde für Straßenbau und Verkehr" (Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic). The road closure affects the traffic between Wietmarschen and Nordhorn. Each of the 28 individual parts for the two bridge structures is 2.30 meters by 4.60 meters in size and weighs over 25 tons.

The construction work on both bridges will be carried out under the supervision of the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic, with the aim of ensuring a smooth flow of traffic once the project is completed. The authority encourages drivers to plan their journeys accordingly and to allow extra time for their commute during the construction period.
