Lando Norris stuns Verstappen to claim Las Vegas Grand Prix pole

Lando Norris has claimed pole position for the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz were outpaced by Norris in a tightly contested qualifying session. Meanwhile, teammate Oscar Piastri will line up fifth, citing challenges outside his control during the session.

Qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix saw Norris secure the top spot on the grid. Verstappen followed in second, with Sainz taking third—just behind the leading pair. George Russell rounded out the second row in fourth place.

Norris leads the field into Sunday’s race, with Verstappen and Sainz directly behind him. Piastri’s fifth-place start sets him up for a competitive push from the third row. The race will determine whether qualifying struggles impact his final result.
