Land Service in Rastatt announces Sébastien Oser as the New Deputy of the Land Council, making him the First Land Official starting from 2011.

New Deputy Appointed in Rastatt County Council

Sebastian Oser, a seasoned county director, has been appointed as the new deputy for Rastatt County Councilor Christian Dusch, effective October 1. This marks a significant change in the top management of Rastatt County, following a period of tensions.

Oser's appointment comes after Jörg Peter, who has served as the first state official for 20 years, announced his retirement on September 30. Another individual had also applied for the position, according to information from the Ministry of the Interior.

Oser has a strong background in local politics and community involvement. He joined the Baden-Württemberg state administration in 2011 and has since made a name for himself at Landratsamt Rastatt. He served as the director of building, environment, and public order for almost three years before taking on the additional role of deputy department head in September 2018.

In his tenure at Landratsamt Rastatt, Oser has demonstrated exceptional leadership and exceeded expectations. He has repeatedly taken on cross-cutting tasks, such as leading the emergency staff, and has shown a commitment to the needs and priorities of the Rastatt district.

County Councilor Dusch expressed his delight at Oser's decision to stay at Landratsamt Rastatt, praising his dedication and expertise. Oser, currently on vacation, was not available for a personal statement after his appointment.

Jörg Peter, who is currently on a longer vacation, also lost his additional job as manager of the waste management company (AWB) in autumn 2022. Toni Huber, who was elected county councilor in the election that Jörg Peter ran in 2020, will be taking over the leadership role in the county council.

This appointment aims to strengthen the leadership team and ensure continuity in governance and administration within the county council. For more detailed information on Sebastian Oser’s career history or specific qualifications, please let us know!
