Jeff Daniels, a renowned Emmy-winning actor, has voiced his disapproval of President Donald Trump during an appearance on MSNBC's "The Best People" podcast. In a candid conversation with host Nicolle Wallace, Daniels expressed his concern about the state of America under Trump's leadership.

Daniels asserted that America has lost decency, civility, and respect for the rule of law since Trump took office. He went on to express his opinion that Trump is everything that's wrong with not just America but with being a Jayden Daniels.

Wallace, in agreement, mentioned that Trump's current policies could potentially harm his supporters rather than help them. Daniels also highlighted the normalization of verbal abuse on the internet and bullying during this time.

The actor did not approve of several promises made by Trump during his campaign, such as lowering the price of groceries. He questioned the supporters of Trump's reelection campaign for the 2024 presidential election, asking what they will do about it.

Interestingly, Senator Mitt Romney had made a similar statement after Trump's re-election, expressing that America had lost civility, respect for the rule of law, and decency as a nation. Romney referred to Trump as a "snake oil salesman" and criticized those who voted for him in November.

Daniels' appearance on the podcast has sparked discussions about the role of celebrities in politics and their influence on public opinion. Regardless of one's political leaning, Daniels' comments provide food for thought about the current state of American politics and the values we uphold as a nation.
