Bodensee Heart Center to Close - Lake Constance Heart Center to close after bankruptcy and failed sale

The Lake Constance Heart Center is set to close after falling into bankruptcy. A planned sale to the Konstanz District Health Network failed, leaving no viable way to keep the clinic running. Around 150 employees will lose their jobs as a result of the shutdown.

The clinic's financial troubles have forced its closure, though an exact date has not yet been confirmed. Dr. Johannes Bär, the appointed insolvency administrator, will oversee the process. Efforts to sell the facility collapsed when negotiations with the Konstanz District Health Network broke down.

The shutdown will leave 150 staff without work and shift patient care to other regional facilities. The insolvency administrator will manage the final steps of the closure. No further attempts to revive the clinic are expected.
