Ladies clinch the top spot in SV event
In a thrilling display of tennis, Anja Ullmann and Sandra Schambeck, representatives of SV Schönthal and FC Neunburg vorm Wald, emerged victorious in the Duo Kreismeisterschaft. The competition, which saw six teams participate in a double round, is exclusively for Bundesliga ladies teams.
The duo clinched the title with an impressive score of 17:3 points, marking a significant achievement for both players and SV Schönthal as a club. Despite SV Schönthal not winning the overall Duo Kreismeisterschaft competition, this victory was a testament to the skill and determination of Ullmann and Schambeck.
Prior to their triumph in the Duo Kreismeisterschaft, the pair had participated in the FC Untertraubenbach tournament with SV Schönthal, but did not secure a win in that tournament. The FC Untertraubenbach tournament saw the participation of SV Schönthal's team, which included Bernhard Zapf, Erich Dobmeier, Georg Ruhland, Wolfgang Fischer, and others. The tournament ended with SV Schönthal finishing in 4th place.
The coach of SV Schönthal, Christian Kufner, was not present at the FC Untertraubenbach tournament.
