Labour Member of the Welsh Senedd for Caerphilly, Hefin David, passes away at the age of 47
In a tragic turn of events, Hefin David, the Welsh Labour Member of the Senedd for Caerphilly, passed away on August 12, 2025, just before his 48th birthday. The cause of his sudden death has not been specified and was not treated as suspicious by Gwent Police.
Born and raised in the Caerphilly constituency, Hefin began his political journey as a councillor. He was later elected as MS in 2016 and re-elected in 2021.
