La Mirada High School Girls Basketball Team Faces Heartbreaking Semifinal Loss
The La Mirada High School girls basketball team experienced a heartbreaking defeat in the CIF-SS DIV. 5AA semifinals, as they lost a double-digit lead against Colton. This loss marks the first time any La Mirada team has reached this stage in a CIF championship game.
The game began with a rocky start for La Mirada, as they fell behind 7-2 early on. However, the team showcased their resilience and fought back, leading 23-12 at halftime. Despite their impressive recovery, Colton managed to mount a comeback, ultimately edging out La Mirada with a score of 46-41.
