La Inauguración de la Asamblea Regional en Essenbach

The district of Landshut is set to embark on a new chapter with the completion of its modern administration building. The new structure, located at Josef-Neumeier-Allee 1 in Essenbach, was handed over on September 17, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the district's history.

The architectural competition for the new building was won in 2019 by the office dasch zuern + partner from Stuttgart. The construction process, which took approximately three years, has culminated in a state-of-the-art building that is expected to bring long-term financial benefits to the district.

The primary goal of the new building was to address the space shortage and consolidate the district's units under one roof. The estimated cost for the project was originally around 75 million euros, but due to market conditions, it is now expected to cost over 100 million euros. Despite the increased cost, careful planning and economic action will significantly undershot the ceiling.

Thomas Stöckl, the chairman of the board of LAKUBAU and also the head of the circle-owned high building department at the district authority, oversaw the construction and later maintenance of the building. The district council passed a fundamental resolution for a new district administration building in 2017.

The first units of the district office administration will begin moving on September 25, with the first opening day planned for October 6. An open house day is scheduled for November 9, 2025, providing the public with an opportunity to explore the new building.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann and Economic Affairs Minister Hubert Aiwanger were present at the ceremony to congratulate the district on this great success. Aiwanger highlighted the benefits for local companies due to short distances, clear structures, and a service-oriented atmosphere under one roof.

The new district administration building is a testament to the importance of modern administration for a region. Its construction was blessed by priests Daniel Schmid and Christoph Hilmes, symbolising the unity and cooperation that went into its creation. Information on accessibility and regulations during the transition period will be published in advance.

The new district administration building in Landshut District is more than just a building; it's a symbol of progress and a beacon of modern administration. It represents the district's commitment to providing efficient and effective services to its citizens and businesses.
