The dispute unfolded live on Sydney radio earlier this month. Sandilands criticised Jackie O's performance during a horoscope reading, sparking a public row. Days later, Jackie O formally notified ARN that she could no longer work with him.
ARN suspended Sandilands on 3 March, giving him 14 days to address the alleged breach. The company warned his comments violated their agreement. By Wednesday morning, the decision was final: his contract had been terminated.
The duo were only two years into a decade-long, $200 million deal, with Sandilands earning half that sum. He insists he did nothing wrong and claims the termination is invalid. Legal threats have been made, though no court action has yet been filed.
