Kyle Palmieri out 6–8 months after ACL tear in Devils-Flyers clash

New Jersey Devils forward Kyle Palmieri will miss the next six to eight months after tearing his ACL. The injury occurred during a collision in a recent game against the Philadelphia Flyers. His absence ends a streak of 223 consecutive games played.

The incident took place when Palmieri collided with Jamie Drysdale in the match. Scans later confirmed a full tear in his left knee, requiring surgery. This season, he had recorded 18 points—six goals and 12 assists—in 25 appearances.

Palmieri’s surgery will keep him sidelined until at least mid-2025. The Devils now rely on Meier to maintain offensive strength during his absence. The club has not announced further roster changes at this time.
