Kyiv undergoes nighttime Russian assault, 15 hurt, structures and shopping center compromised
Kyiv Suffers Significant Infrastructure Damage from Russian Attack
Around fifteen people have been injured, and multiple residential buildings in the Dniprovskyi, Solomianskyi, and Obolonskyi districts have been damaged due to a nighttime Russian attack on Kyiv. According to Kyiv police, additional targets included a shopping and entertainment center, an educational institution, eight vehicles, and a boiler house.
In the Solomianskyi district, debris from a downed UAV sparked a fire in an apartment on the fourth floor, injuring seven residents aged between 35 and 63. The Dniprovskyi district suffered damage to a residential building where a married couple, aged 40 and 41, were injured. Four floors of a nine-story building in the Obolonskyi district were also damaged, causing five injuries. One additional person was injured in the Holosiivskyi district.
While Kyiv city authorities reported that the attack was one of the largest air assaults since the conflict began, they did not provide a precise count of damaged buildings or vehicles in each district. The attack affected residential and non-residential infrastructure in six of the city's ten districts, including the aforementioned three. Damaged sites included a shopping mall, several apartment buildings, and an educational facility.
This incident occurred on the night of May 23-24, marking a continuation of Russian attacks on Kyiv using UAVs and ballistic missiles. For further updates on the specifically district-level damage, it is recommended to monitor official Kyiv city administration channels or recent press releases.
