Kuwait prepares for scorching hot and oppressively humid conditions ahead
Kuwait is bracing for a week of wet and stormy weather, according to the latest forecast from the Kuwait Meteorology Department. The country is expected to experience clouds, scattered rain showers, and thunderstorms until Monday, with the possibility of active winds and fog.
Meteorologist Fahad Al-Otaibi made the prediction, stating that humidity levels are currently at 100 percent due to a humid air mass laden with water vapor crossing the Arabian Gulf. Despite the high humidity, Al-Otaibi denies any connection between the current high humidity and the amount of rainfall expected during the rainy season.
The Meteorology Department Director, Dharar Al-Ali, confirmed the forecast to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). Al-Ali also noted that temperatures in Kuwait are predicted to rise again, reaching a high of 48 degrees by the end of the week.
However, Al-Otaibi does not suggest a direct influence of the upcoming rainy season on the current high humidity. In fact, his prediction does not indicate a direct relationship between the current high humidity and the amount of rainfall during the rainy season.
