Kuwait praised as exemplar of dialogue and diversity by Mexican Ambassador
The Mexican Ambassador to Kuwait, Ambassador Eduardo Patricio Peña Haller, addressed the gathering at the Mexican Embassy's National Day celebration, expressing Mexico's interest in enhancing cooperation with Kuwait in renewable energy, education, tourism, and innovation.
Ambassador Haller highlighted the promising fields where the ambitions and visions of both nations converge. He emphasized that these areas, including dialogue, pluralism, and the pursuit of peaceful solutions, are key to strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Kuwait. Ambassador Haller expressed Mexico's appreciation for Kuwait's efforts in supporting regional and global stability, and praised Kuwait's constructive role in international affairs.
The humanitarian and cultural ties between Mexico and Kuwait continue to deepen, according to Ambassador Haller. He emphasized the human warmth and deep friendship that unites the two nations, and noted the development of political dialogue, economic cooperation, and academic and cultural exchange between them.
Kuwait's generous hospitality reflects values that the Mexican people take pride in, such as respect for family, community, and friendship. The event was attended by Minister Plenipotentiary Nawaf Abdullatif Al-Ahmad, Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs, and members of the diplomatic corps.
Trade and investment between Mexico and Kuwait are steadily growing, according to Ambassador Haller. He reiterated the importance of human feelings and the spirit of friendship in the relationship between Mexico and Kuwait, and expressed Mexico's interest in continuing to deepen ties with Kuwait in the years to come.
