Kuwait awards $140M+ contracts to secure power and water infrastructure
The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has approved key contracts for the maintenance and operation of Kuwait’s electricity and water facilities. These decisions follow strict regulatory procedures to ensure transparency and value for the state. Several deadlines for bid submissions have also been extended to allow more time for proposals.
CAPT recently approved two major tenders. The first, worth 44.487 million dinars, was awarded to Solidarity Union and its partner for gas turbine maintenance at the Doha West Power Generation and Water Distillation Station. The second, valued at 12.826 million dinars, went to Al-Dhow Engineering General Trading and Contracting Company for operation and maintenance works in the power and water desalination sector.
All contract awards and deadline extensions were carried out under approved regulatory frameworks. The decisions prioritise competitive pricing, technical excellence, and long-term sustainability for Kuwait’s essential services. The moves reflect ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s energy and water security.
