Kuwait and Saudi Arabia conclude Gulf Peace 1 naval drills with live-fire training
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have completed a joint naval exercise named Gulf Peace 1. The drills aimed to boost regional security cooperation and improve combat readiness. Both nations deployed ships and naval units for live-fire training and tactical simulations.
The exercise was organized under the Kuwaiti Naval Force’s annual training program with international partners. This year, only Kuwaiti and Saudi forces took part in the maneuvers.
Participating units practiced command-and-control procedures through naval operations centers. They also conducted live-fire drills, focusing on countering threats from unmanned boats. Search and rescue missions, as well as naval engagement management, formed key parts of the training. Defense operations for offshore oil installations were another priority. The exercise sought to unify tactical approaches and improve coordination between the two navies. Officials stated that such drills enhance operational efficiency and joint response capabilities.
The Gulf Peace 1 exercise concluded with both nations reaffirming their commitment to regional security. The training reinforced joint coordination and tactical alignment between Kuwaiti and Saudi naval forces. Future drills are expected to build on these efforts under the Kuwaiti Naval Force’s ongoing training initiatives.
