Kuban braces for chilly weather this weekend.

In a relief for the residents and tourists of Krasnodar Krai, Russia, meteorologists have predicted that the region will experience mainly warm and dry weather from August 8 to August 11, 2025. This period will see temperatures ranging from 20°C to 36°C, making it suitable for outdoor activities, albeit with caution for heat sensitivity.

According to forecasts, the region will witness generally dry conditions with no significant rain or storm alerts during these days. Anapa, a city in Krasnodar Krai, is expected to remain dry for the next 30 days, including this period. Krasnodar overall shows about 14 rainy days in August, but not specifically during these dates, and no storm warnings are mentioned for this period.

The weather during this time is considered typical August heat in Krasnodar Krai. The days will be warm and sunny, with daytime highs in the mid-30s Celsius, while the nights will be mild.

However, in contrast, the neighboring Sochi is currently battling heavy downpours that have flooded tourist bases and roads. The storm warning in Sochi is in effect for three days, with heavy rain expected in these areas. The unsettled weather will mainly affect the eastern half of the region and the Black Sea coast - the Tuapse District and Sochi.

In Kuban, the current weather is dropping after intense heat, and the night of August 10-11, temperatures are expected to be +14...+19 degrees. The cause of the temperature drop is a passing front that brought rain, thunderstorms, and flooding. The cooling is due to a change in air mass, with flows coming from northwestern regions of Russia.

Meteorologists have also warned of hail in some areas and a risk of waterspouts forming over the sea. Submerged villages, destroyed roads, and stranded tourists are currently happening in Krasnodar Krai due to the bad weather.

Despite the ongoing weather challenges in some parts of Krasnodar Krai, the storm warning is likely to be extended until August 9. However, starting from August 10, dry weather is expected throughout the region, but another cold front is expected to pass, causing temperatures to drop slightly.

On Monday, August 11, Krasnodar Krai is expected to be mostly dry, providing a much-needed respite after the recent weather turbulence. It is advised to keep a close eye on weather updates and take necessary precautions during the transition period.

Weather-forecasting predictions indicate that Krasnodar Krai will experience a respite from the recent weather turbulence on Monday, August 11, with mainly dry conditions. Additionally, the weather-forecasting for the days from August 8 to August 11 has shown the region to be dry, contrary to the neighboring Sochi which is currently battling heavy downpours.
