Kriti Sanon’s new film and her urgent plea over Delhi’s toxic AQI crisis
The upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein has generated buzz as a spiritual sequel to the 2013 hit Raanjhanaa. Directed by Aanand L. Rai, the movie stars Kriti Sanon and Dhanush in the lead roles. Meanwhile, the actress has also spoken out about Delhi’s worsening air pollution crisis.
Kriti Sanon, originally from Delhi, raised concerns over the city’s hazardous air quality. On Sunday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) hit 471, falling into the severe category. She stressed the need for immediate action to tackle the growing pollution problem.
The film Tere Ishk Mein marks a reunion of sorts with Raanjhanaa, though it stands as an independent story. Aanand L. Rai returns as director, with Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav penning the script. The project is produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, alongside Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.
Sanon has expressed admiration for her co-star Dhanush, calling him an incredible actor with remarkable talent. The film’s music is composed by A.R. Rahman, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Tere Ishk Mein is set to release in cinemas on November 28.
As Tere Ishk Mein approaches its release, audiences anticipate another emotional and musical experience from the team behind Raanjhanaa. Meanwhile, Sanon’s concerns highlight the pressing issue of Delhi’s air pollution, which continues to pose serious health risks. The film’s launch will coincide with growing discussions on environmental challenges in the capital.
