Pop sensation Dua Lipa has added another citizenship to her repertoire, this time from Kosovo. The honour was bestowed upon her by Kosovo's President, Vjosa Osmani, recognising Lipa as "one of the most iconic cultural figures in our country's history" due to her global success and strong personal and cultural ties to Kosovo.
Born in London in 1995 to Kosovar-Albanian parents, Lipa spent part of her childhood living in Pristina, Kosovo’s capital, after her family returned there following Kosovo’s independence in 2008.
