Konrad Laimer has been named Austria’s ‘Footballer of the Year’ for the first time. The 27-year-old midfielder secured the award with a commanding 51 points, earning praise from coaches and fans alike. His standout performances for both Bayern Munich and the Austrian national team have cemented his reputation as one of the country’s top players.

Laimer joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023. Since then, he has played a crucial role in the team’s success, helping them win the Bundesliga title and the Supercup in 2025. Before moving to Germany, he claimed three domestic doubles with Red Bull Salzburg, followed by two DFB-Pokal victories with Leipzig.
