Komi braces for extreme cold as temperatures plummet to -26°C

In northern Komi, skies will alternate between cloud cover and brief clearings. Light snow is likely in places, while gusts may reach up to 15 m/s during the day. Nighttime temperatures will range from -16°C to -21°C, with some areas dropping to -21°C to -26°C. Daytime highs in the extreme northeast will climb slightly to -8°C to -13°C.

The forecast confirms a widespread freeze across Komi, with the coldest readings in southern areas where clear skies deepen the chill. Northern zones face stronger gusts and scattered snow, while Syktyvkar remains dry but equally frigid.
