Rolling Pin Awards 2025 Recognise Excellence in German Gastronomy
The Rolling Pin Awards, often referred to as the "Oscars of the gastronomy industry" in Germany, are set to honour the most innovative and outstanding personalities and businesses in the German and Austrian gastronomy and hotel industry. These prestigious awards, first presented in 2010, recognise those who positively and sustainably influence the industry through creativity, ideas, courage, and exemplary behaviour [1][2].
The awards cover a range of categories, including the 100 Best Chefs Germany, Female Chef of the Year, Pâtissier of the Year, Sous Chef of the Year, and 50 Best Sommeliers & Maître of the Year [1][2]. The nomination process involves industry colleagues, and the winners are determined through an online vote, allowing the community to actively participate in selecting the winners.
This year, several restaurateurs from the Koblenz region have been nominated, including Yannick Noack from Restaurant Gotthardt's, Peter Friden from Restaurant PURS, and Verena Schimmel from Verbene Bistro, all in the category of 100 Best Chefs [1][2]. Desiree Steinheuer from Steinheuer Heppingen - Zur Alten Post in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler has been nominated in the category of 50 Best Sommeliers [1].
Voting for the Rolling Pin Awards is open to the public and can be done here. The voting period ends on August 31st, and voters have the chance to win VIP ticket packages to attend the Rolling Pin Convention in Germany as honorary guests [1][2].
