Known to 800 celebrities globally, the Dresden Mini stands out!
The Kloppo-Car, a Mini Cooper with a remarkable history, has been travelling the world for five years, raising funds for disadvantaged children. The project, led by Mandy Hoffmann, recently received the support of Michael Kretschmer, the Minister-President of Saxony, who described it as "a fantastic initiative" that shows "the direction our society should take."
The car, originally owned by Jürgen Klopp, the former Liverpool coach, in 2004, has been repainted by its current, anonymous owners from Dresden. Over the years, it has collected over 800 signatures from various celebrities, including footballers, politicians, actors, and even Auma Obama, the sister of former US President Barack Obama. Notable signatories also include Bob Olympic champion Francesco Friedrich, Dresden's famous DJ "Purple Disco Machine", and, of course, Jürgen Klopp himself.
During a visit to the Vatican, the Kloppo-Car team received a special picture, which they later presented to Michael Kretschmer. This unique item will be auctioned off for a good cause. The proceeds, along with the over 1 million Euros already raised, will be used to fund new projects for disadvantaged children.
The six anonymous owners of the car have chosen to keep their identities private. Their focus is on the car's journey and the charitable mission rather than personal recognition. The Mini Cooper, currently kept in a secret garage in Dresden due to its greatly increased value, is about to be sold. The proceeds will be transferred to a non-profit foundation that will continue the project's work.
The Kloppo-Car project has gained international recognition, with celebrities from all over the world contributing to its cause. Items signed by these celebrities are auctioned off or used in a raffle for a good cause, further boosting the project's fundraising efforts.
As the Kloppo-Car continues its journey, it serves as a powerful reminder of the impact that individuals can make when they come together for a common cause. For more information about the Kloppo Car’s journey and its mission, stay tuned!
