Knicks vs. 76ers: High-Stakes Playoff Showdown Begins at MSG

The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers are set to clash in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The series follows the Sixers’ recent victory over the Boston Celtics and a dominant Knicks win over Philadelphia in their last meeting. Both teams split their regular-season matchups, each securing two wins apiece. The Sixers advanced after defeating the Celtics in their previous playoff round. Their next challenge comes against a Knicks side that crushed them 138-89 in their most recent game at Philadelphia’s home court.

Game 1 will tip off at Madison Square Garden on Monday, May 4 at 8 p.m. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6 at 7 p.m., also in New York. If the series extends, Game 5 is tentatively planned for Tuesday, May 12, with a potential Game 7 on Sunday, May 17—both at Madison Square Garden. Philadelphia coach Nick Nurse has already labelled the Knicks’ starting lineup as 'incredible.' He also singled out Jalen Brunson as a 'big problem' for his team’s defence.

The series will test both teams after an even regular-season split. The Sixers enter with momentum from their last playoff win, while the Knicks carry confidence from their recent blowout victory. All games will be held at Madison Square Garden if the series reaches its maximum length.
