Kneecap's Wembley Arena performance tonight will be augmented by the participation of Massive Attack, featuring a unique audio/visual display.
In an unprecedented show of solidarity, two iconic musical acts, Massive Attack and Kneecap, are set to perform in London's OVO Wembley Arena on September 18, 2025.
The evening will kick off with Gurriers, followed by a headline set from Kneecap. Massive Attack will open for Kneecap, marking a significant moment in their advocacy for Palestine.
Over the summer, Massive Attack announced an alliance of musicians speaking out over Gaza. They were joined by Khalid Abdalla and Yasiin Bey at London's LIDO Festival, and more recently, by Dua Lipa, Primal Scream, Benedict Cumberbatch, and other big names, urging Prime Minister Keir Starmer to "end UK complicity" in Gaza.
Massive Attack has been vocal about their stance, boycotting performances in Israel since 1999 and urging the focus to remain on what they call a "genocide" against the Palestinian people. They have also spoken out against the UK government, criticising a website that allegedly allowed the arrest of "peaceful citizens" at a Palestine Action demonstration in London last month.
Kneecap, meanwhile, has faced its own challenges, with counter-terrorism police launching an investigation into the group. This has forced them to cancel their US tour, but they will now offer a live-streamed performance for fans, filmed at a "secret location in Ireland", to be screened at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York on October 10.
The show in London will also feature a special audio/visual presentation focusing on Palestine, although the group supporting this initiative is not explicitly named in the search results.
Kneecap's 2025 UK headline tour kicks off in November, ahead of two sold-out shows at Dublin's 3Arena the following month. The London show promises to be a powerful and poignant event, bringing together music and activism in a powerful display of support for Palestine.
Massive Attack and Kneecap's alliance is a testament to the power of music as a platform for change, and their London show tonight is set to be a highlight in the music calendar.
