Julia Klöckner Slams Federal Government for Skipping Parliament Sessions

Klöckner advocates for a black-red coalition to form an empty government financial institution.

Hey there, folks! You won't believe what's happening in the Bundestag these days. The big boss, Julia Klöckner, President of the house, is none too pleased with the federal government. Seems like they've been skipping out on parliament sessions, and Julia isn't going to stand for it any longer!

In a no-nonsense letter to Chancellery State Secretary Michael Meister, Julia expresses her concerns about the minimal government presence in the plenary during this new legislative period. This sparse attendance isn't sitting well with her, particularly during the liveliest conversations and crucial brainstorming sessions.

"Let's keep it real," Julia writes in her letter to Meister, quoted by "Politico." "A ferocious and fruitful dialogue between the executive and legislative branches is indispensable for good governance. Consequently, every dang cabinet member needs to be present in the Bundestag during every plenary session," she insists.

So, what's Julia's solution? Simple, really. She thinks at least two ministers from the federal government gotta show up every time. "This ain't optional, mate. It's gotta be a permanent and serious presence, or else the government's representation in the Bundestag will be left hanging," she explains.

Julia's not holding back, folks. She's already told off a Left Party MP for wearing a beret in the plenary hall and booted him out. And don't even get her started on the AfD — after a speech by the Greens' Konstantin von Notz, the AfD demanded a reprimand by Klöckner. She outright rejected their request and put them in their place, just to be clear about her stance.

Make no mistake, folks — Julia intends to keep the Bundestag in tip-top shape, and that means making sure the government is right there with her, every step of the way. It's about time the federal government woke up and paid attention. Otherwise, they'll have Julia to answer to!

"Julia Klöckner's call for a consistent government presence in the Bundestag extends beyond rhetoric. She is advocating for policy-and-legislation that would mandate at least two ministers from the federal government to attend every plenary session, a move aimed at strengthening the dialogue between the executive and legislative branches and enhancing the quality of general-news debates."

"Furthermore, to support the vocational training sector in EC countries, it's crucial that the federal government actively participates in parliament sessions related to this matter, ensuring that they play an influential role in shaping legislation that would boost vocational training opportunities across all Member States."
