Klings Parish Revives GDR Comedy with The Escape Route This September

Klings Parish is staging a new comedy this September. The Escape Route, written by Johannes Galli, brings laughter and nostalgia to the stage. Set during the final days of the GDR, the play explores the era of German reunification in a light-hearted way. The East-West comedy will run for two performances. The first show takes place on Saturday, September 12, at 6:00 PM. A Sunday matinee follows on September 13 at 2:00 PM.

Starring Sigrun Stiehl and KT Riemann, the production lasts 80 minutes with a short intermission. After the Sunday performance, guests are welcome to stay for coffee and cake at the Klings Community Center. Tickets cost €20 for general admission. Discounted prices of €10 are available for students under 16 and university students with valid ID.

The play promises an evening of entertainment, blending humour with historical reflection. Audiences can expect a mix of wit, nostalgia, and a glimpse into life during reunification. Performances will be held at the Klings Community Center.
