Kla Tham slated to head the Ministry of Education

Get ready for some shake-ups in the political scene! The Kla Tham Party is gearing up to take on the Ministry of Education in the upcoming cabinet reshuffle, with Narumon Pinyosinwat, the party leader, anticipated to take the helm.

This move comes after the party secured 26 MP seats and, based on the words of Phayao MP and chief adviser Thamanat Prompow, boasts the additional support of at least 37 MPs from other parties. Once the reshuffle is done, Kla Tham will be managing a whopping two ministries.

Currently, Kla Tham has been managing the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, with Ms. Narumon, their leader, at the helm, and two deputy ministers, Akkhara Prompow and Itthi Sirilathayakorn, by her side. However, with the reshuffle, Ms. Narumon is set to move to the Education Ministry, and it looks like Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, also from Kla Tham, is the top pick to lead the agriculture ministry.

The reshuffle is necessary due to the exit of the Bhumjaithai Party from the ruling coalition, leaving eight ministerial portfolios vacant. Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has already held talks with the coalition parties, and the process of submitting candidate profiles for qualification checks is underway. Once completed, the list of new ministers will be submitted for royal endorsement.

It's worth mentioning that the Shas party is expected to hold deputy minister positions in the Education Ministry following the reshuffle, according to coalition agreements signed by Likud. The exact names of these deputy ministers haven't been Disclosed yet.

Other coalition partners, like the Democrat Party, and the Chartthaipattana Party, are expected to secure at least one deputy ministerial position each. As for the contest for the deputy education minister role, Gp Capt Anudith Nakornthap, the Kla Tham Party's strategy chairman, and Chantawit Tantasith from the Thai Sang Thai Party are the front-runners.

So, buckle up for the cabinet reshuffle and keep your eye on these political powerhouses!

In light of the upcoming cabinet reshuffle, Kla Tham Party, with 63 MPs backing them, is set to expand their influence from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to the Ministry of Education, all while considering candidates for deputy ministerial roles in the Education Ministry, including Gp Capt Anudith Nakornthaw from Kla Tham Party and Chantawit Tantasith from Thai Sang Thai Party. The reshuffle, necessitated by the departure of Bhumjaithai Party, will also involve policy-and-legislation changes, as well as other general-news developments related to the politics of the reshaping of the coalition government.
