Kings of Leon withdrawing from Alive festival; Muse stepping in as replacement headliner
Gearing Up for NOS Alive: Here's the New Lineup!
With less than a month until the festival, we've got some exciting news! Promoter Everything is New spilled the beans with a confirmation: Muse is set to grace the NOS Stage on July 12!
Muse, led by Matt Bellamy, steps in to fill the void left by Kings of Leon. The Kings unfortunately had to pull out of their European tour due to an injury suffered by their lead singer, Caleb Followill. He took a tumble while playing with his kids, resulting in a broken foot that required emergency surgery in Nashville[1][5][3]. His doctors have advised him to stay off his feet and avoid traveling for about eight weeks, explaining the cancellation of their European tour, including the Portugal concert.
But fear not, music enthusiasts! Muse has been to Portugal several times, mainly for festivals, with their most recent appearance at Rock in Rio Lisbon in 2022[2].
So, mark your calendars! The 17th edition of NOS Alive will take place from July 10 to 12 at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, in Oeiras.
Joining Muse on the last day is an impressive lineup, including Nine Inch Nails, Future Islands, Foster The People, Bright Eyes, Jet, A-Trak, Left., Bombazine, Luís Severo, Teresinha Landeiro, Cebola Mol, Jel, and Ana Arrebentinha, among others.
Unfortunately, tickets for the first day, July 10, featuring Olivia Rodrigo as the main act, have already been snatched up[6]. But let's take a look at who else will be gracing the stage that day: Benson Boone, Parov Stelar, Nathy Peluso, Glass Animals, iolanda, Baleia Baleia Baleia, Girls96, Libra, Diogo Clemente, Pedro Moutinho, Guilherme Duarte, and Mónica Vale de Gato, among others.
On July 11, American DJ Anyma will take center stage. Other confirmed acts for the day include Justice, Girl in Red, Finneas, St. Vincent, Capicua, Mother Mother, Mike11, Herlander, Zarco, Luísa Amaro, Luís Franco Bastos, and Guilherme Fonseca, among others.
The venue will feature seven stages, one of which will be dedicated to Comedy. So, get ready to immerse yourself in an unforgettable musical experience at NOS Alive!
