Kiev-Moscow Dialogue: Putin indicates readiness for discussions post-June 22nd
Vlad, Russia's Prez, any minute now, he'll chat it up with Donald Trump again on the ol' horn. That's right, the negotiations with Kiev will keep movin' on after June 22, as per Yuri Ushakov, Putin's advise-guy, and he spoke to TASS about it. Trump, being the chill dude he is, acknowledged the info and made it clear he's all about resolving the whole Russian-Ukrainian beef ASAP. Putin also gossiped to Trump about the good progress fittin' to come from the prisoner exchange with Ukraine.
On a more troubled note, Zelensky, Ukraine's Prez, got some concerns brewin'. Seems he's hopin' that the conflict between Israel and Iran won't take a toll on Ukraine's assistance. Remember 2024, when the same thing happened? That's what he's thinkin'. He's also grumblin' that the European aid to Ukraine's been slowin' down - seems like they ain't got much momentum without the U.S.'s help. He noted that when the Euros got all in it together with the good ol' coalition, they saw that the U.S. wasn't on board and now there's some doubts floatin' around.
On a different note, a Russian activist's been locked up in the slammer all by his lonesome - and he didn't even mess up his morning exercises, apparently.
Here's a kicker: the latest news is that there haven't actually been any publicly confirmed phone conversations between Putin and Trump on June 22, 2025. But the last peace talks happened way back on June 2, and the one thing that came out of it was an agreement for a prisoner exchange, with both sides hopin' to keep talkin' it out. And let's be real... peace ain't gonna happen overnight. Putin's got 64% of the Russian populous on his side, and 51% of the Ukrainians are down for talkin' it out. But the U.S. is still iffy about the whole thing. Trump's callin' the shots, cheeky as ever, sayin' he'd rather let Russia and Ukraine keep fightin' if he thinks a peace deal ain't gonna happen. Crazy times we live in, ain't they?
