Kickoff Time and TV Details for Super Bowl 50

In 2016, Super Bowl 50 will take place at the state-of-the-art Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The San Francisco 49ers call this venue home, but for Super Bowl 50, they will be spectators as the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers face off.

Levi's Stadium, which opened in July 2014, is considered the most green and technologically advanced professional stadium in the country. With a capacity of over 68,500 seats, it promises to host an unforgettable event.

The Denver Broncos, led by Peyton Manning, will make their eighth Super Bowl appearance, while the Carolina Panthers, with Cam Newton in their ranks, will make their second appearance in the Super Bowl.

Coldplay will be the main act in the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, with Beyoncé also performing. The announcers for the big game will be Jim Nantz, Phil Simms, and Tracy Wolfson, with the broadcast airing on CBS.

Kickoff for the highly anticipated event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016. The San Francisco 49ers, who were the home team for Super Bowl 50, were led by Jim Tomsula at the time. Despite his leadership, the 49ers did not play in Super Bowl 50, with Kyle Shanahan taking over as head coach later in 2017. Shanahan led the team to Super Bowls in 2020 and 2024, not 2016.

Super Bowl 50 will take place 38 miles out of San Francisco, making it easily accessible for fans from both the Bay Area and beyond. With an exciting lineup, cutting-edge technology, and a historic matchup, Super Bowl 50 is shaping up to be an event to remember.
