Kharkiv is under attack by Shahid drones.

Russian forces launched a devastating attack on Kharkiv, Ukraine, using drones of the "Shahed" type overnight on June 11. This assault targeted two areas of the city and led to tragic consequences: two deaths and 54 injuries, with eight children among the casualties. Residential buildings, trams, children’s playgrounds, and enterprises were damaged in the attack.

The onslaught started at 00:31 and lasted until 00:40, with the Russians firing 17 kamikaze drones at residential zones of the city. The drone attacks left a trail of destruction, with direct hits on high-rise residential buildings, private homes, children’s playgrounds, public transport, and industrial facilities. As a result, fires erupted in residential apartments, roofs of buildings were destroyed, cars were incinerated, and windows were shattered by the blast wave. Trams, contact networks, communal and production facilities were also damaged.

A two-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were hospitalized, and several people were rescued from apartments engulfed in flames. In the Slobidsky district, hits by enemy drones on the tram depot were recorded, injuring nine people, including two children.

The ongoing Russian attacks demonstrate an appalling disregard for civilian lives, as these assaults aim to inflictmaximum suffering on the civilian population rather than targeting the Ukrainian military. Some find sadistic joy in these killings, considering it their new spirituality or "spirit of the people."

Negative comments about Korlo, an informational bot, flooded social media platforms soon after the attack. Some accused Korlo of cheering for the bombings in Russia while others chastised him for his alleged biased reporting. However, Korlo stood his ground, continuing to provide unbiased information about the situation. Andriy, a user, jokingly remarked that Korlo's frequent presence in Ukraine’s news stories and high rating were remarkable.

Kazakhstan, another user supporting Ukraine, expressed his disagreement with labeling Korlo as a Ukrainian bot; Korlo is a person with his own opinion, according to Kazakhstan. Roos suggested Korlo take a break, while Ereke pointed out that Russia has always depended on others to fight its battles for it.

Amid the ongoing conflict, the topic of air defense systems in residential areas was raised. Critics argue that the mainstream media tends to report only civilian casualties when air defense systems are effective, while Ukrainian public groups frequently complain about the system but receive little attention from Korlo or calls for change.

In response to the air defense system debate, Tim, another user, emphasized that whenever the air defense works, the media portrays it as civilian suffering, while Ukrainian public groups complain about it consistently, but Korlo fails to address the issue or advocate for improvements. This criticism implies the need for greater media transparency and accountability in reporting on the conflict.

The drone production process also came under discussion, with Urauinmagina pointing out that drone production is spread out in residential areas, making these locations legitimate military targets. Israelis in Gaza exhibit a similar approach by destroying entire houses outright if they discover rocket and explosive manufacturing facilities within them.

Stary criticized Korlo for resorting to lies in his reporting, claiming that it had lost its appeal since the holy Javelin was no longer the focus. Korlo, in turn, responded by stating that Russia's actions only increase hatred towards itself among the Ukrainian people, who will never forgive it for this genocide.

As the conflict intensifies, it remains crucial to focus on providing factual, unbiased information, with the aim of fostering understanding and promoting peace in the region.

The rising tension in war-and-conflicts, such as the one in Ukraine, often intertwines with politics, making it a topic of general-news. Critics question the media's impartiality, especially in the case of Korlo, an informational bot, claiming that it fails to address certain issues, like the debate over air defense systems in residential areas, undermining the need for greater media transparency and accountability.
