Khabarovsk Krai boosts housing aid for young families in 2026

The government of Khabarovsk Krai has announced a new funding boost for young families in 2026. A total of 300 million rubles will be allocated to help them buy or build homes. The initiative builds on last year’s success, where nearly 300 families improved their living conditions through similar schemes.

The programme, run by the Ministry of Social Protection of the Population, will issue around 100 social payment certificates for housing purchases. Eligible families can use these funds to either construct a home or buy property from a developer within their local district.

Participants with children will receive support covering 35% of the housing cost. Those without children can still access assistance, with 30% of the price covered. One beneficiary, Olga Sokolenko, recently used the scheme to purchase an apartment that suits her family’s needs. The Ministry of Construction in Khabarovsk Krai views this support as a vital investment in the region’s future. In 2025 alone, a combination of federal and regional programmes helped 295 young families secure better housing.

The 2026 funding will expand opportunities for young families to own homes. Certificates will reduce financial barriers, allowing more residents to buy or build property in their communities. The scheme continues a trend of targeted support for housing stability in the region.
