Ice Glaze Keeps Bus Traffic Restricted on Key Roads in Khabarovsk Krai

Bus traffic remains restricted on several major highways in Khabarovsk Krai due to icy conditions, reports the Khabarovsk Krai Today news agency.

Restrictions are in place on the federal M-60 Khabarovsk–Vladivostok highway (from the 33rd to the 240th kilometer) and the A-376 Khabarovsk–Lidoga–Vanino route (from the 34th to the 533rd kilometer), as well as the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Access Road (from the 0 to the 179th kilometer). As of 8:00 AM on February 24, restrictions were lifted on the regional Komsomolsk-on-Amur–Amursk road (53 km).

Traffic police in Khabarovsk Krai are advising drivers to avoid non-essential travel outside populated areas until road crews complete ice removal operations.

Despite the hazardous conditions, no major accidents were reported on the region's roads over the past 24 hours. Two minor traffic incidents did occur, leaving three people injured.

Authorities note that road accidents in Khabarovsk Krai have declined by 4.8% over the past year.
