Khabarovsk Celebrates Sergei Esenin's 130th Birthday with Literary Events

Khabarovsk is gearing up to celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of renowned Russian poet Sergei Esenin with a series of events. The city's cultural institutions are preparing literary-musical performances, exhibitions, and lectures to honour the iconic poet.

The celebrations kick off on October 2nd at the Far Eastern State Scientific Library with an exhibition of books about Esenin and a poetry quiz titled 'Autumn gold has persuaded...'. The event runs from 5 to 7 PM.

On October 10th and 11th, the 'GELIKON' theater takes the stage at the regional philharmonic theater with the literary-musical play 'Esenin. In the heart, Russia shines'. This performance is set to be a highlight of the anniversary celebrations.

The Central City Library named after N.I. Ostrovsky in Komsomolsk-on-Amur hosts 'Bibliosummer' on October 25th, from 5 to 9 PM. This event includes book exhibitions and lectures dedicated to Esenin, culminating in a monodrama performance of 'Esenin'.
